Fajāo is a tranquil and picturesque village nestled within the Serra do Açor in central Portugal, famous for it's Schist villages and the Fajão Schist trails, where the mineral rich waters of the River Ceira gracefully winds it's way through pristine pine-ridged mountains.
This retreat offers you an escape into a world of quartzite cliffs where you can absorb yourself in undisturbed peace and tranquility. It's the perfect setting to unwind and surround yourself with the healing sounds of nature. Breathe in the clear air and catch the aromas of culinary and medicinal herbs and plants growing wild to delight your sense. During the day enjoy the warmth of the sun rays on your skin, and at night wonder at the clear starry night skies. The venue
The retreat takes place in the newly restored and spacious Farm house surrounded by extensive grounds with an olive grove, lemon and citrus trees and wild peppermint and herbs that grow abundantly and exude their aromas in the clean air.
The venue is comfortable and has a sense of peace and calm from the moment you step in. There are scenic views everywhere you look to delight the senses. An outdoor veranda encircles the farmhouse offering an open space to hang out, relax and take in the stunning views.

The Yoga experience
Flo is an experienced retreat teacher and loves to hold space for people to develop their practice. You will be able to take time out to reconnect to yourself, to journal, reflect, meditate and tap into your intution and inner resources.
Daily yoga practices are mindfully sequenced with all yoga experiences in mind. The sessions are crafted to combine the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual elements of the practice. You will have a chance to learn more about yoga philosophy and the science of Ayurveda and how to apply the wisdom of the teachings in your practice and in your daily life.
There are two yoga sessions a day. Morning practices are dynamic Vinyasa Flow alignment based sessions. The intention is to provide an embodied practice that helps to increase your strength, flexibility and balance and includes breath work and meditation.
The late afternoon sessions are more restorative, where you can take time out to slow your breath, rythym and pace of life. The practices will incorporate the styles of Restorative, Yin & Yoga Nidra. Sound healing is an integral part of the yoga experience to provide deep relaxation. The intention of a Restorative practice, is to soothe the nervous system, be peaceful and feel spacious.

Our retreat begins on the late afternoon of Saturday 26th September 2026 and ends on Thursday 1st October after lunch.
Getting There: Recommended flights & Airport Transfer
The suggested flight times if you’re coming from the UK is to Porto Airport and recommended arrival time is approx. 12.30pm to coincide with other retreat guests for ease of airport transfer and shared costs.
Easyjet: Saturday 26th September from Gatwick
Depart: 9.55am – arriving in Porto at – 12.25pm.
Ryan Air: Saturday 26th September from Stansted
Depart: 10.05am – arriving in Porto at – 12.30pm.
