During summer the body accumulates a lot of heat driven by Pitta dosha, that when carried over into Autumn creates excess dryness. Autumn is ruled by Vata dosha, the prevailing qualities are dryness, cold, rough and movement as the pace of the wind picks up. Too much of these qualities can over-stimulate the Nervous System.
Ayurveda recommends regular cleanses to adjust to seasonal changes throughout the year, where we can adapt and adjust our food choices to align with the needs of the body. It is during the seasonal transition that the body's immune system is more vulnerable to colds, flu and allergies.
An Ayurvedic 3 Day Gentle Detox will help you navigate these changes by supporting the digestive system with delicious nourishing, easy to digest food that builds a robust immune system and reduces the effects of stress by soothing the nervous system.

You can do this from the comfort of your home as the cleanse takes place over the weekend, where you can dedicate this time to relax, heal and nurture yourself.

At the heart of this 3 day gentle Spring detox is cooking fresh food from scratch and is based around Kitchari, an Ayurvedic easy to digest meal that gives supporting nutrition to the gut, whilst helping to eliminate toxins from the digestive system and fat cells.
The cleanse is about establishing regular meal times in the correct proportions that maintain energy and blood sugar levels, which promotes calm in the nervous system, good quality sleep and increased vitality. About the Detox
The cleanse takes place over three days over the weekend and is based around the nutritious and easy to digest famous Kitchari which nourishes and restores, with the use of spices and herbs to aid digestion and the elimination of toxins from fat cells.
All refined foods are eliminated. During the detox you will be preparing wholesome home cooked, preferably organic foods (where possible) to give yourself the best chance to feel good. It will enable you to foster a more conscious connection to your relationship with food. By pressing the "re-set button" you will become aware of food cravings, bad habits and patterns that have acrued over time and clearly see the triggers that compel you to go for foods you might regret eating afterwards!​

What's my Dosha?
Ayurveda defines 3 main mind/body types known as Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Understanding our characteristics, elements within us, the food we eat, the habits we adopt, is key to addressing any imbalances. You can determine your mind/body type through a doshic questionnaire that you will have access to when you sign up.

Digestive Capacity & Toxic Load Questionnaire
You will receive a questionnaire to assess the toxic load of the body and how your digestion functions. This is key to understanding how the doshas affect your ability to digest, and to choosing certain spices and foods that are more appropriate to eat during the detox. ​​​
​What to expect
Book a week ahead of the detox to prepare yourself, so you can see what the detox entails and what you need to buy in terms of herbs and food required.
Day 1 consists of consuming liquids and a special digestive detox tea to give digestion a rest.
On days 2 & 3 there are small breakfast options, Kitchari for lunch and suggested recipes for dinner.
Daily Ayurvedic practices are offered along the way to support you through the detox, such as oil pulling and self massage.

On Day 2 there is a free Sound bath of Crystal Singing Bowls and the gong to deeply relax to. You'll receive the zoom link to join. The session will be recorded if you are not able to join and you will be sent the recording to listen to any time.

Joining a group cleanse journey, will enhance accountability and offer mutual support. Through collective effort and shared experience, we will encourage one another to stay committed to our goals.
Please note: the Online 3 day Ayurveda Gentle Summer Detoxes suit those who are generally well in health, and do not have any conditions that might be contraindicated when taking Triphala, the recommended Ayurvedic herb in the cleanse. If you are unsure please contact your health provider and get permission. It is possible to follow the detox without taking the recommended herbs.
