Flo Beauty Face Scrub Ingredients 2 - 1.jpg
"The bluebell is the sweetest flower, that waves in summer air: It's blossoms have the mightiest power to soothe my spirit's care".
The Bluebell, Emily Bronte

Essential oils are used in the cosmetic and beauty industry and it has been recently found that microplastics have been added to many products, such as cleansers, toothpaste and face scrubs. We know that these substances are toxic and polluting to our body and to the environment.

We can immediately make a positive impact, by choosing products that do not have these harmful products in, or even better, make your own!

Using essential oils and natural ingredients for our beauty needs, we can be safe in the knowledge that we know exactly what we are putting on our skin. Since around 40% of what we out on our skin gets absorbed by the blood stream, it makes sense to use natural ingredients that our body can naturally process, without toxic side-effects.

The intention of this workshop is to have fun and enjoy making beauty products and blends that are naturally healthy, kind to our body and the environment.

Nourish your senses, relax and enjoy the therapeutic process of self-care.

We will cover natural ingredients you can source from home and easily buy to make home beauty products and remedies.

Discover:-

  • What are essential oils and what makes them therapeutic?

  • How do they work?

  • Our sense of Smell – the power of scent

  • Categories of essential oils

  • Taking care of your skin with essential oils and clay for cleansing the face and body

  • Where to source ingredients and sundries.

 â€‹

Clay Face/Body Masks – demo how to make

Face Oil – (to nourish the skin, blemishes, clear the sinuses, or relax and release headaches and jaw tension)

  • Blend your own to take home

  • Or make a body oil to moisturise your skin

  • Learn and relax with a face massage routine.

Natural Face Scrub with oats and red rose petals – Demonstration on how to make you get a sachet to take home with you

Toothbrush Powder (Natural Toothpaste) – demonstration on how to make, you get to take a sachet to take home

Where to source Ingredients and containers.

It is so satisfying to make your own beauty products that often cost a lot of money to buy and are packaged in plastic. By using glass or other natural materials that can be recycled and used again, we are reducing the impact of unnecessary waste and strain on our environment.

The cost includes bottles, ingredients, sundries and essential oils for making the essential oils remedies to take home with you.

You will receive accompanying notes to refer to, with recipes, essential oil guide and where to source products to continue making your own.

Anandamine - The bliss molecule, it moderates pain, and is associated with the "runners high" effect. Cacao also has N-linoleoylethanolamine, the re-uptake inhibitor for anandamine.

Phenylethylamine (PEA) - Helps with excitement, alertness, attention. Gives the perception of time slowing down.
